Let me tell yall something. I really didnt want to do this review simply because I'm selfish when it comes to good eatin! This isn't just a hidden gem this is a secret location for people to eat like there is no tomorrow. The staff is the greatest! The food is hot delicious and abundant. My wife and I ate leftovers til Tuesday! I was a bit upset I couldn't finish in one sitting! Try it all and you will not be disappointed!
First time eating here on yesterday June 2. My friend said you get a lot for your money and the food is really good. When we pulled up there I was little skeptical...Didn't look like much from the outside, but when I got my food it was sooo good, seasoned well but not much and was so much it made two meals. I ordered the turkey wing with dressing and cranberry sauce and for my sides I got green beans and yams, and a corn bread, all for 6.50. The employees were nice and friendly. Do not miss out on this little treasure. There is not a huge selection but enough to get some good choices. Its best to do take out because there are only two small tables if you try to eat there.
This meal was delicious! I had collard green yams, dressing, Mac and cheese and bake turkey wing. I will recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a good soul food dinner. This soul food really hit the spot!! I got smothered chicken with potatoes, mac n cheese, candied yams and corn bread...all for 9. Everything was really yummy, I finished all but the bones. It’s also very filling! I will definitely visit again to try other items. There is an inside dining area which is currently open and a few seats outside as well.
I got a catering order of ribs with sauce on the side. They were absolutely delicious! I picked them up the day before the family event. Even after heating them up, they were just as fresh and delicious ! I would give them a ten ! The only problem I had and it was my fault I should have gotten my own personal small pan! I highly recommend them!
First time checking them out! Great food, service and atmosphere! I gotta try barbecue weekends next! I love the full size plates! Huge portion sizes. They also give 3 sides and bread with entrees! Well seasoned food at a reasonable price.
Ok. Hear this. If you want to discover one of the best kept community secrets in Riverdale, then this is the place for you to try. This restaurant is tucked away . You may need Google or call ahead to place your order and simply ask for directions. Generally, my husband and I would share a plate when we try a place for the first time. Not this time. Everything looked so fresh and delicious, We were enticed to get separate plates. This is Soul Food yall. We received so much food. The plates were so heavy in the bag when we walked out the door. OMG . We had two extra plates leftover after we pigged out. Lord have mercy. Did I mention they cater. Oh, THANKSGIVING right around the corner. Not sure about any of the other reviews but this is my 3rd plate from them and it was literally good every time I’ve tried the grilled bbq chicken which is fall off the bone and so flavorful. I’ve had the greens, green beans, baked Mac, corn, dressing w/gravy, and of course the cornbread. Everything is GREAT! The portion sizes are perfect for the price and they never disappoint
